Mono Tanz provided firmware updates for Drum machines, Synthesizers, Samplers and other Music equipment for many years, both on Reverb and eBay worldwide. We have reached a point, where it is no longer worth to run a store selling eproms with firmware, on portals like Reverb and eBay, as these websites has been widely affected with local, European and international regulations to make the administration burden and existence absurd. We still want to ensure, that end-users still have the ability to update their devices, therefore is availability & knowledge very important.

This is how it works:

1. After the order you will receive the Binary incl. the instructions of what Eprom(s) types you need per download link.
2. You can place an order with the binary at an online-burning service, like buyicnow.com or use your own Eprom burner.

Above will not only give you a lower price point, but also higher quality than any crook-store found on eBay or Reverb etc..

Introduction:

This is firmware update 2.7 & 1.06 are the latest official released operation systems by Clavia Digital Musical Instruments for Nord Lead 1 / 2 series. This operation system update/upgrade requires one eprom chip as revealed in the article`s photos. For more info, please check below.

Features/improvements: [1.06 for NL2]

• Fixed: Sometimes the DSP’s would not start in sync, which would result in some voices appearing at the wrong output. Now they will start together and all voices will appear at the correct output.
• Fixed: No bank select would be sent when changing program or performance between banks. Now bank change is always sent, for program change and performance change. Bank select is also received.
• Fixed: Sound on SRAM card 1.1 to 1.11 would overwrite performance 1.F4 to 1.F6 and vice versa. Now 1.1 to 1.11 have their own memory space on the card. Version 1.06 will read old cards, but 1.1 to 1.11 will be garbage. If the sounds 1.1 to 1.11 are fine on the old card, one can save them in internal memory with the old version (<1.06) and then change to 1.06, and then copy them back to 1.1 to 1.11.
• Fixed: When the keyboard was in octave shift mode (4 out of 5 LED’s lit), the MIDI channel could suddenly change. Now it will always be the channel chosen for the active slot.

• The 1.54 version is not actually an upgrade for 1.50, but rather was necessary to accommodate a change in the flash chip supplier (went from Intel to AMD). Any modules lower than serial number DA4945 must use the 1.50 version.
