Roland/Boss SX-700 – Final OS Revision: Version 1.02
This is firmware update 1.02 and is the latest official released operation system by Roland / Boss. This operation system update/upgrade requires one eprom chip.
You can check current OS version by holding [MOD] and [RSS] while powering the device.
Features/improvements:
· Roland/Boss mandated that all service techs servicing SX-700 units with serial number prior to ZL10400 are to replace all existing EPROM chips with this 1.02 upgrade.
· Update 1.02 resolves an issue where random noise can be heard on the outputs while switching between patch numbers.
· Update 1.02 also contains modifications to the existing set of factory presets. (Unfortunately Boss has been vague as to what those modifications actually are in the service note history).
