Mono Tanz provided firmware updates for Drum machines, Synthesizers, Samplers and other Music equipment for many years, both on Reverb and eBay worldwide. We have reached a point, where it is no longer worth to run a store selling eproms with firmware, on portals like Reverb and eBay, as these websites has been widely affected with local, European and international regulations to make the administration burden and existence absurd. We still want to ensure, that end-users still have the ability to update their devices, therefore is availability & knowledge very important.

This is how it works:

1. After the order you will receive the Binary incl. the instructions of what Eprom(s) types you need per download link.
2. You can place an order with the binary at an online-burning service, like buyicnow.com or use your own Eprom burner.

Above will not only give you a lower price point, but also higher quality than any crook-store found on eBay or Reverb etc..

 

Introduction

This is firmware revision 1.19 and is the latest official released operation system by Roland for the early revision. This operation system update/upgrade requires two eprom chips.

 

Check current OS:

Hold [NUMBER 1], while you power the device.

 

Features/improvements:

• Fixed – When a keyboard part was set to “OFF” or “RHYTHM”, a hold data has not been sent out from the “MIDI PALETTE” of on the “CONTROL CHANNEL”
• Fixed – Original tone will be corrupted, when temporary area was accessed by SysEx
• Fixed – When setting reverb mode to delay and delay time to maximum, periodically a pop noise may be heard
• Fixed – When a key was pressed just after performance change on user program change, the head of that sound will be collapsed.

• A EVEN = IC4 and B ODD = IC9
• Before buying, please check your current firmware version, if you have under version 1.14 then you cannot upgrade do 1.19 due to that Roland changed the whole motherboard to another revision!
