1. Open your device
2. Locate your Eprom socket and note the notch orientation.
3. Pull up the Eprom
4. Insert the new eprom with the notch in the same direction as you noted in point 2.

This is firmware revision 2.00 [0060] and is the latest official released operation system by Roland. This operation system update/upgrade requires one eprom chip and the chip will be labeled to help you locate the correct chip socket. For more info, please check below.
How to check current version?
press Cancel + 0 during power-up to display the ROM version.
Why upgrade?
The capability to save and load .mid and .SMF files without the Roland MRM500 conversion software standalone.

- This will not work for MC-300 and MC-500
- Instructions will be included and this upgrade requires soldering experience.
