Yamaha TX7 – Version 1.4 OS Firmware Update Upgrade Eprom for TX-7 FM Synth

This is firmware revision 1.4 and is the latest official released operation system by Yamaha. This operation system update/upgrade requires one eprom chip as revealed in the  article`s photos and the chip will be labeled to help you locate the correct chip socket. For more info, please check below

To check your current OS version:

• hold down the MODE NORMAL and DATA YES buttons while powering on the unit
• The version will be displayed as shown in the photos, as TEST y/n ? v1.x
• where x is your current version number
• after viewing the number either turn the unit off or press the DATA NO button so you do not enter into the TEST mode.

Note:

• Fully verified before shipping and professionally packaged in anti-static material
• Yamaha TX-7 is not included, only this update/upgrade.
• The existing EPROM is in a socket, so you can easily remove the old one and plug this one in.  No soldering is required.
• Chip is located at IC-socket: IC 2
• Most devices with serial number 10129 and up already have the newest OS.
